2 players who could follow George Dobson out of Charlton Athletic this summer

We take a look at a couple of players who could be on their way out of The Valley when the summer comes along.

And they arguably made enough high-quality signings in January to secure a place in the third tier for next season, but the game isn’t played on paper.

Looking ahead to the summer, quite a few players could be on their way out of The Valley, including George Dobson.

Dobson is set to join Hungarian side Fehervar FC in July, but he may not be the only player to depart the English capital during the summer, with some players performing well and some of their young stars shining.

We take a look at two others who could depart the third-tier outfit.

Leaburn may be out injured currently, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the young attacker move on at some point, considering how promising he is.

Testing himself against some strong senior sides as a teenager, the 20-year-old will be hoping to return to action before the end of the season and make an impact, either to strengthen his chances of starting regularly under Nathan Jones or to put himself in the shop window.

It only feels like a matter of time before he moves to a club in a higher division if he can thrive when he returns, and he may even be the subject of bids in the summer despite the fact he hasn’t featured as much this season as he would have wanted to.

Also having hamstring surgery during the latter stages of last year, he should be fully fit and healthy by the time the summer comes along, so the Addicks need to be braced for offers.

His contract expires in 2025, so selling him in the summer may be a good option if he isn’t prepared to put pen to paper on an extension.

Chelsea and Brentford are two of the clubs that have previously been linked with a move for him.
