Brendan Rodgers With Yet More Acclaim For Lawrence Shankland

In anticipation of this weekend’s pivotal trip to Tynecastle, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has showered Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland with even more praise.

The double-treble-winning manager unpromptedly praised the top scorer in the Scottish Premiership before to the Hoops’ 2-0 home loss to the Jambos earlier in the season.

He offered additional appreciation for the striker ahead of their third encounter this weekend. Shankland, who has almost half of Hearts’ league goals this season, has been praised by Rodgers as an outstanding all-around striker with incredible skill.

The manager even acknowledged that he was a player from his initial visit to Glasgow, saying, “I really enjoy watching him” (The Celtic Way).

“He was a player that was on the radar and I had heard people talk about him when I initially came here.

Lawrence Shankland Hearts“This boy seemed to be quite focused on the game. He protects the ball with great skill and body language.

“He scores goals with both his left and right feet and does well in the air.” We must exercise appropriate management over this talented player.

The Parkhead manager thinks highly of the 28-year-old player. It is hard for any manager not to, given his goal-scoring record.

Shankland will pose a threat to The Bhoys this weekend, but the defense is far more solid now that center-half Cameron Carter-Vickers has been back to the team for a few games. If Celtic can neutralize the threat posed by Hearts’ star player, they will have partly won at Gorgie.
