Outstanding’ £15m striker to be available for free in summer

Brendan Rodgers is keen to enhance his team’s caliber, but with several of his own players attracting transfer interest, the Celtic manager may have to invest a substantial portion of the organization’s financial reserves only to bolster his first team, let alone his roster.

When Adam Idah returns to Norwich City from his loan term, Rodgers will find himself back at square one since last month, a striker was the main topic of talk. That is, if the Hoops owner agrees to pay the amount the Championship team demands.

But instead of spending that £3 million, Rodgers would opt to buy a striker for £15 million, who might be available for free when his contract expires at the end of the current campaign.

With his experience in both the Premier League and the Championship, the 27-year-old Southampton striker might be useful to the Hoops when his contract expires.

Adams has 395 games played, 95 goals, and 37 assists in his career. He is undoubtedly a threat up front for Celtic.

He has a plenty of international experience in addition to his 26 caps. But more importantly, Adams’ adaptability might be valuable to Celtic.

Throughout his varied career, the Southampton player has filled a variety of positions, including attacking midfielder, winger, and lone striker.

However, in an effort to help Kyogo, Brendan Rodgers has been employing Adam Idah as a target man lately. Adams is also capable of filling that role since, in addition to his physical strength, he moves very quickly, which is useful for counterattacks.

Adams’ pay won’t be a major problem because he presently makes £32,000 a week (SalarySport), and since there isn’t a charge associated, Celtic may offer the player more money.
