Sheffield United star in line for shock Euro 2024 call

Sheffield United could have a couple of representatives at this years Euros and Oli McBurnie could end up being one of them.

The Blades striker has once again had a trouble season with niggling injuries curtailing his progress at times.

But he enjoyed a fantastic season the previous year, scoring in double digits and playing a major role in United’s return to the Premier League.

Furthermore, Scotland is considering bringing up McBurnie to lead the line for them in the summer, according to Alan Nixon, who made this revelation via his Patreon.

McBurnie has reportedly been the target of Steve Clarke’s scouts this season because to a lack of attacking alternatives, and there’s a potential he’ll be called up to the most recent team this month.

Around three years ago, McBurnie last competed for Scotland, and ironically, an injury kept him out of the most recent big competition.

Another Blade who may play in Germany is Ivo Grbic, although others like George Baldock won’t be there because Greece didn’t make the playoffs.

McBurnie’s reward
Alright, so far this season hasn’t been particularly good, and injuries have hampered him once again.

However, Oli McBurnie has been among the best red-and-white players over the past 18 months or so, and he merits a second opportunity with Scotland.

Given McBurnie’s remarkable play at times during the previous year, it’s safe to say that United has missed him as a consistent top player this year.

If he is selected for this recall, it will be a nice incentive for a guy who has significantly improved his situation at United.

If he agrees to a new deal, United supporters should be excited to watch him play in the summer.
