Police issue terrible statement after Leeds United fan is taken to hospital

The police have issued a statement after a Leeds United fan was taken to hospital after a Chelsea FA Cup incident.

The Met Police have confirmed that a Leeds United supporter has been taken to hospital after injuring his leg at Chelsea.Police, referees and paramedics were seen on the pitch during the first half of the FA Cup away game at Stamford. Bridge and the club later released a statement saying: “Leeds United can confirm an incident involving a Leeds United supporter in the Shed End of Stamford Bridge during the first half of tonight’s FA Cup tie. The incident is under investigation and emergency services were involved. .”.

Police told YEP they are awaiting updates on the fan’s condition, but his family has been notified of the incident. A spokesman said: “Senior officers, along with paramedics and Chelsea FC staff, responded to a man injured during the match against Leeds United on Wednesday 28 February.”The man was taken to hospital for treatment.
