Jim Goodwin says Dundee United could bring in another new signing

Before the domestic loan deadline at the end of the month, the Tangerines’ manager would like to add another attacking option.

Goodwin emphasised that the market is now far from profitable, nevertheless.

The United boss stated, “We are in a position to bring one in but there aren’t a whole load of options out there at this particular stage.”

These days, most teams wish to hang onto their best players. However, we are concurrently working on one or two projects.

“That’s probably a position we would look to strengthen,” he continued, “if there was an exciting one in the forward areas that could come in and add to what we already have.”

The Goodwin’s Tangerines are set to play five times over the course of a 14-day span.

Callum Davidson’s Queen’s Park will make its Tannadice debut on Saturday, marking the start of that run.

Glenn Middleton

Glenn Middleton of United, who played for St Johnstone in Davidson’s cup double-winning team, lauded the impact his former manager had on his career.

Middleton stated, “As a manager, you don’t achieve what [Davidson] achieved at St Johnstone without knowing what you’re doing.”

I have the utmost regard for him because of the manner he treated me.

“He truly provided me with a platform to simply resume playing football and having fun.

“I will always be appreciative of him for that.”
