The 23-year-old was not included in AIK’s squad for their 3-1 victory over Örebro Sportklubb at the weekend to kick off the new campaign.

Fotbollskanalen reports that the Sheffield United player hasn’t even made it to Sweden yet.

AIK still has time to reorganize their roster since the Swedish transfer window remains open until March 28. It opened at the beginning of this month.

Following the victory over Örebro, Thomas Berntsen, the sporting director of AIK, provided an update regarding the player owned by Sheffield United as well as his team’s transfer plans. He claims that on Monday, the Mali international will join his new colleagues.
“He’s coming to land [Monday].” Visas have been the solution to it. We anticipate him to be in good shape because up until now he has been working with Sheffield United. We’re excited to have him train with us starting on Tuesday,” he remarked.

This season, Coulibaly was limited to only one appearance, which occurred during the Blades’ EFL Cup loss to Lincoln City in August of last year. In the upcoming months, he will have the chance to appear frequently thanks to a temporary relocation.

Berntsen responded enthusiastically when asked if the player was prepared to play for AIK, saying, “Yes, he’s ready to play.”
