Fulham now keen on signing £20m Premier League ‘hard-hitter’ in January

Fulham could rekindle an interest in Bologna winger Riccardo Orsolini having targeted a move for him last summer.

Marco Silva and co had a fairly quiet January transfer window, leaving it late to add just the one signing.

Before the deadline, Armando Broja came on loan from Chelsea; the summer is when permanent acquisitions will be made.

However, Fulham might have summer goals in mind, and one Serie A player might return to the team’s want list.

Calciomercato in Italy has now reported that Fulham made “initial contacts” in an apparent attempt to sign Riccardo Orsolini last summer.

According to reports, Fulham and Fenerbahce were in competition with Serie A teams Lazio, Napoli, and Fiorentina for his signature at the time.

Orsolini decided to stay with Bologna and has had an incredible season, scoring nine goals in 20 Serie A matches.

The right winger, 27, has scored five goals in his previous five games, which makes him very outstanding right now.

According to Calciomercato, Fulham might be eager once more, and interested clubs from 2023 could “come back into fashion” this summer.
